Berlin Fashion Week for the Spring 2014 Collections was not short of enthusiasm. Where as numerous first-class fashion trade fairs are dispersed all over the city and attract influential buyers from all over the world the prime location for runway shows is the Mercedes Benz Tent at the foot of the Brandenberg Gate. During the day it is work. While Bread and Butter offers a platform for edgy denim and street brands, Premium displays high-end brands and upcoming design talents, Panorama showcases mainstream brands, there is a variety of smaller niche fairs like Seek, Show & Order and Capsule, just to name a few. At night partygoers flocked to events peppered around the city until the early hours of the morning. In addition to visiting all the major fairs and a few parties, I managed to see the Istanbul Next presentation and runway show featuring Asli Filinta, Ece Gorgen, Nerva Karaga, and Nazli Bozdag. Other Highlights: Karl Lagerfeld Store Opening G-Star party True Religion stand with a great band Les Eclaires Stand Fashion Designer Meiling Brooks Brothers Collection Accessories |
