Almost everybody remembers the fascination of the first Swatch watch he ever saw. Being introduced to this completely new way of manufacturing timepieces, many people developed emotional attachments to these collectable watches. Formed in 1983 the Swatch Group is based in Biel, Switzerland. Its story of success ended the quartz crisis of the 1980s and was the beginning of trendy timekeepers that combine synthetic materials with a new brand status.
